Find Your Favourite | Fresh Spring Styles
With springtime just around the corner, it’s lovely to think of the light nights, longer days and pretty flowers that will soon be on their way. As you begin to prepare your garden one of your biggest decisions will likely be deciding on your preferred garden style. Whether that's wild and romantic, sleek and stylish, or bold and bright, your outdoor furniture is the ideal place to start building your desired look. Find your favourite set style, and the rest will follow suit.
This year we have a wide range of outdoor furniture to suit all tastes and types of gardens. Consider one of these three design directions, and the new ranges that will help perfect your new season garden look.
1. COOL CONTEMPORARY
If your ideal garden look is more angular than abundant, sleeker furniture will complement the clean lines of your outdoor design. To complete this more refined and minimalistic look, surround the area with a mixture of planted and potted grass, to add some much needed softness and texture.
Vienna
Think oversized and sleek to add a more structured style. Vienna’s corner sofa is set on a smart oak-effect aluminium base that appears as if to be floating. And with its large coffee-table and integrated side tables, it provides a lounging feel, perfect for cocktails and early evening drinks.
St. Lucia
If you’re intrigued by indoor-outdoor living, the St Lucia is the perfect bridge of your living spaces, with upholstered chairs in a storm-grey shade that works just as well inside modern glass conservatories as on terraces. The tabletop has a stylish ceramic texture to look at home, indoors or out, but is made from glass which means it needs minimal maintenance, all year round – perfect for the ever-changing British weather.
Zurich
Sometimes the simplest designs are the best ones, and the stylish Zurich collection is all about effortless style with its soft grey tones and laid-back lines. If you have plans to personalise your space, Zurich is the ideal base. Simply add a pop of colour with cushions, throws and tabletop pots filled with rich green foliage and you have a perfectly curated look.
Lucca
If you’re take on contemporary is much more informal, Lucca’s distinctive design, is made for reclining and relaxation. Angular legs make it low level with extra comfy seats, backs, and arm rests to lean against. Add your favourite drink to either the side or coffee table and it’s the perfect set for lazy days lounging in the springtime sun.
2. DARK DRAMATIC
Perhaps you want to steer clear of the expected, or you have an urban setting that just feels too jarring alongside more classic styles. By selecting different materials and darker tones, it’s easy to give a bolder update to your garden space.
Amsterdam
For furniture that’s destined to be the focal point of your outdoor area, Amsterdam’s deep, dark cushions and bold lines are the perfect mix of form and function. The firepit option adds further drama after dark, creating the perfect atmosphere and ambience for dinners and drinks with its warm glow.
Bergen
Scandinavian-inspired Bergen features dark aluminium, slate-coloured cushions to create clean square shapes. Teak touches add warmth and textures, and with many different options, including a sofa, armchair and dining sets, it’s the ideal collection to work in all spaces, large and small.
3. SOFT SOPHISTICATION
Although we love modern design directions, there is something truly lovely about a traditional garden look. A recent article by Gardening etc is forecasting “New Victorian” to be a popular garden trend for 2023. Popularised, in part, by shows like Bridgerton this style is classic and in truth, always a firm favourite. Think bird baths, soft pastel pinks, and romantic, rambling roses to complete this aesthetic.
Sahara
The Sahara collection is a perfect match with its timeless elegance and classic rattan weave design in coffee-coloured tones. We particularly love the nod to nostalgia with its central Lazy Susan, which makes entertaining a novel experience. Alternatively, fill bottle vases of different shapes and sizes with foliage and flowers cut from the garden and weave around the Lazy Susan to create a centrepiece worthy of any film set.
